Pumpkin Carving


We had fun carving a million pumpkins at the Zufelts. Lucky Kim and I got stuck scooping the guts and seeds while everyone else busted out these awesome pumpkins.

Ward Costume Carnival


What a busy week! Between putting together a Daddy/Daughter Hoe Down and Ward Costume Carnival it was non-stop. Oh, and the best part was Brian was M.I.A. working seventy hours last week (which is awesome considering the economy right now).  Anyway it turned out to be well worth the effort! The kids had a blast at the carnival we had tons of game booths the Zufelts gave pony rides and I did a hair coloring. I'm so grateful I have great kids who support me through all my craziness! 

Halloween HuntWe had a blast on a halloween hunts the Zufelts planned for about 20 couples. We dressed goth I even got Brian to let me paint his nails black and put guy liner on. For the hunt we had to race around in groups eating spicy pizza, smashing pumpkins, bowling with oversized shoes and doing a dare devil stunt which Brian and I got to do.  It was the Ultimate Rush which was a huge drop and we loved it. The best part about the night was our team won (thanks to my mad driving skills)!

Primary ProgramLast week was our primary program. It's always my favorite sacrament meeting because somebody else gets to tame my wild monkeys for an hour.  The kids all did great with their parts but I'd have to say Maddin definitely stole the show.  Every chance he got to do a big blow into the microphone he took it.  Everyone was laughing.  After the program someone  asked me if I was embarrassed.  All I could say is that I'm glad that's all he did. Gotta love him!

So we went to the best Pumpkin Patch ever but my camera batteries died so I have to wait for our friends to send me some pics. I was going to wait to catch up on my blog but the pics are stacking up.  So I'll have to add those later.

Ghost Train


We went to California to visit the Baileys.  We found this cool little ghost train where you ride a train in the dark and they had some spooky things set up to scare the kids . We weren't sure it would be worth the money but the kids ended up loving it. 

Maison's Field Trip
I went with Maison on his field trip to the Animal Ark. On the bus ride there he wanted to sit by his friend.  I was bummed!  His getting to cool for his Mom already. On the way back he was excited to sit by me.  I taught him the hand slapping game and bloody knuckles.  It was awesome!  It's not very often we get one on one time.

Mad's Favorite Sleeping Spot
So last night when we went to check on the kids after bedtime we couldn't find Mad in his bed. Then I remembered he's been sneaking under our bed during nap time. Sure enough that's where we found him fast asleep in his Ironman costume.

Cookie Decorating


Last week we decorated Halloween cookies.  That's my favorite thing about this time of year there's always an excuse to make treats.

Caramel Apples




After we picked a ton of apples we thought it would be yummy to dip them in caramel and sprinkle them with m&ms. They were sooooo tasty!

Apple Picking Party

The kids had been waiting to pick apples at their grandparents all summer long.  So their grandma and grandpa had an apple picking party. They each got a basket and picked as many apples as they could. Then we had dinner and apple pies for desert.

September Update

We had a slumber party  last month and built a fort that went from the head of our bed to our armoire.  We had so much fun staying up late reading stories.
